Interdisciplinary Concentrations

Environmental studies

In this concentration, students enhance their understanding and application of the fundamentals of public policy as they relate to the study of environmental issues and environmental policy. The concentration places strong emphasis on the integration of public policy, environmental science, and natural resources planning perspectives. Students complete courses covering topics such as environmental law, environmental policy analysis, social-environmental impact analysis, legislative and pressure group activity, environmental science, resource ecology, natural resources development, and land use planning. This concentration is intended especially for those students who plan to pursue graduate or graduate/professional study in related fields.
